Struck by a hockey stick so as to return it along its original path with a velocity at 2 m/s.Calculate the change of momentum occurred in the motion of the hockey ball by the force applied by the hockey stick.

Let the initial momentum = mu = 0.2 *10 = 2kg m/s

and final momentum = mv = 0.2*(-5) = -1kg m/s (because opposite direction)

hence change in momentum = m(v-u)

= (-1-2)

= -3kg m/s
