To support the Society - It is not agricultural produce that is enough to sustain a society. To make a society to live happily, we need several other products and facilitates.
A Source of Employment for the Landless - The poor landless people of the village could easily earn money by working in the manufacturing plants,dairies or could drive trucks, or tangas.
A Support to Agriculture - The transport sector helps teh delivery of the produce from the fields to the markets. Several agricultural produce are used to manufacture other food items like sugar is converted to jaggery in factories.
