Each friend got 90 centimeters.

Explanation:

The length of cloth bought by Sulabha =  four and a half metres

 = 4+ \dfrac{1}{2} meters

i.e. Total length : =\dfrac{9}{2}=4.5 meters

If he divides it into five equal parts , then the length of each part would be

(Total length) ÷ 5

= (4.5)÷ 5  meters

= 0.9 meters

= 0.9 x 100 centimeters    [ Since 1 m = 100 cm]

= 90 centimeters

Therefore , the length of each part of cloth =90 centimeters

Hence, each friend got 90 centimeters.
