Let side of first square be X and other be Y
Now
X²+Y²=400... (i)
4X-4Y=16
X-Y=4
(X-Y) ²=16
X²+Y²+2XY=16....(ii)
Subtracting eq (ii) from (i)
2XY=384
XY=192
Now lcm of 192 whose square are less than 400 and whose sum is 400 are 12 and 16
There fore X=16and Y=12
Now
X²+Y²=400... (i)
4X-4Y=16
X-Y=4
(X-Y) ²=16
X²+Y²+2XY=16....(ii)
Subtracting eq (ii) from (i)
2XY=384
XY=192
Now lcm of 192 whose square are less than 400 and whose sum is 400 are 12 and 16
There fore X=16and Y=12
