Step-by-step explanation:

let 1st , 2nd and third terms be

a-d , a and a+d

according to the question,

a-d+a+a+d = 39

3a = 39

a = 39/3

a = 13

Now,

(a-d) (a+d) = 144

a^2 - d^2 = 144

13^2 - d^2 = 144

169 - d^2 = 144

d^2 = 169 - 144

d^2 = 25

d = √25

d= + or – 5

therefore,

if d= –5

then, the a.p will be

13 , 8 and 3

if d= +5

then,

13 , 18 and 23..............
