Answer:

Given that the resultant force is R perpendicular to small force. Hence, we can say that b is the hyopetenuse .

So !

⚘ b² = R² + A²

⚘ R² = b² - A²

⚘ b² - A² = 4²

⚘ (b - A)(b + A) = 16

⚘ (b - A)8 = 16 [ b + A = 8 ]

⚘ (b - A) = 2

★ b + A = 8

★ b - A = 2

_____________

⚘ 2b = 10

⚘ b = 5N

• b - A = 2

• 5 - A = 2

• A = 3N
