Verrier Elwin is very impressed with the people of Assam and their attitude towards foreigners.
He says that the people there are courteous and hospitable unlike other countries in this world.
He compares the Kaziranga National sanctuary with the ones in East Africa. He says that without any Public Co-operation, these wild animals cannot move freely.
Verrier Elwin requests people of Assam to preserve its traditional culture, folk tales and rituals.
He also says that this culture is the real treasure of Assam along with the Splendor of natural beauty in its hills, valleys and rivers.
