the man who knew too much:  the story is all about the narrator  and the private quelch who meet in an army training depot the private quelch was a very intelligent but has a habit of showing off he was given a nickname professor as his body structure and face looks like he is a professor. one day the narrator shares an incident of the sargent and the professor shows his knowledge out. ultimately corporal turn blue teaches a lesson to the private quelch by putting his permanent cook house duties but the too the professor shows his superiority by telling others the scientific way of peeling potatoes
