The firemen pulls the rope in downward direction by froce, so the rope exerts an upward force T on the fireman.
since the fireman is accelerating downward,
we have,
mg-T=ma
mg-50/100(W)=ma
mg-1/2(mg)=ma
a=g/2
∴ The minimum acceleration with which fireman can slide down is g/2 m/s²
