THE ROAD NOT TAKEN (SUMMARY)
Once the poet was in a forest. He stood at a junction. The two roads diverged in a yellow forest and he wanted to any one. He had a regret that he could not travel on both the roads at a time. He stood there for a long time. He looked down one road as far as he could see. He could see it upto a point where it turned to the undergrowth. The poet took the other road. As it had a claim to be walked upon. It was because it was grassy and full of wanted wear. Less number of travellers had walked upon it. However, as far as passing was concerned, both the roads lay equally in leaves. These had not been prodded much by the travellers. The poet kept the first road for another day. He knew we'll, how one way leads into another. The poet had, however a doubt. It was whether, he would ever come back to walk again on the other road. The poet feels that after an age, he would tell one fact of life with a sad feeling. It is:Two roads diverged in a forest. And he took the one which had been less travelled by the people. And that had made all the difference.

This poem is written by Robert Frost. The poet was standing in front of a jungle. There two roads diverged in the Jungle. The poet wanted to take a journey on both roads but he felt very sorry that being one traveller he could not travel both roads. He had to choose only one road to travel. So the traveller stood there and look at the roads.
The poet was very confused in choosing the road. He then took a decision. He chose the road which was grassy and wanted wear.
Both the roads were looking same on that day because no one had travel on those roads yet and the leaves on the roads were fresh and had not turned black which proved that nobody had travelled on those roads.
The poet left the first Road for another day. But he was in doubt whether he would be able to come back and travel on that road.
The poet knew that one had to be very careful in making choices for future. Because when a person chose a choice and began to work for that then it is very difficult to change the choice and to take another choice.
This very choice makes too much difference in one's life. So the poet here in the poem conveys the idea that one should be very careful in choosing his career.
