Here is the summary of the Selfish Giant:

The story is that of an of a giant, his garden and the children who used to play in it. There was once a giant who had a beautiful garden. He had gone to visit his friend, the Ogre, for seven years. When he returned home, he found that children used his beautiful garden as their playground.then he disallowed children to come in his garden aand as a result spring never came to his garden but when the children crept in his garden again however spring came back.A nice work of imagination, it is mainly for children with magical creatures like the Giant and the Ogre. It teaches the importance of sharing the good things in life and how it brings happiness to not just the one it is being shared with but also the one who is sharing happiness to others gets happiness in return and one who is sharing sadness then sadness will come back in return.

Explanation:

A once selfish giant welcomes the children to his previously forbidden garden and is eventually rewarded by an unusual little child. This magnificent new edition of Oscar Wilde's beloved tale tells the story of the selfish giant who built a wall around his beautiful garden to keep children out. It was always winter in the garden, for no other season would venture there. Then one morning, a special child brought Spring back, and the giant's heart melted along with the snow.
