Let the age of Ashima = x years
The age of Sunita is twice of Ashima
Therefore age of Sunita = 2x years
Given that if 6 years subtracted from Ashima and 4 years added to Sunita, the age of Sunita becomes four times of Ashima.
So
4(x - 6) = 2x + 4
4x - 24 = 2x + 4
2x = 28
x = 14
The age of Ashima = 14 years
The age of Sunitha = 28 years

Answer:

ashima= 12 years

sunita = 26 years

Step-by-step explanation:

let the age of Ashima be x

Sunita = 2x

4(x-6)=2x+4

= 4x-24=2x+4

= 4x-2x=24+4

= 2x=28

= x=28/2

= x=14

=14-2

and 28-2

therefore, Ashima=12 years

and Sunita=26 years
