By Unitary Method,

Distance covered in 1 hr = 3 4/5 km = 19/5 km

Distance covered in 2 1/2 hrs. or 5/2 hrs. = (19/5) * (5/2)

= 19/2 km or 9.5 km

2. By using formula, Speed = Distance/Time

Nitin covers 3 4/5 km (19/5 km) in 1 hr, therefore, his speed is 19/5 km/hr

We are given, Time = 2 1/2 hr. =5/2 hrs.

We know, Speed = Distance/Time

So, 19/5 = Distance / (5/2)

Distance = (19/5) * (5/2)

Distance = 9.5 km

I know that using the unitary method in this case seems a lot more simpler, But as a physics enthusiast, I strongly recommend using the physics equations for solving these kind of problems.

Hopefully, it helps!

He walked 43/5 km in a day

so 1km in 5/43 days

51/2 km = 43/5 * 51/2
