= tan²66° — cot²24°

= tan²(90—24)° — cot²24°

---------------(as, 66= 90-24)

= cot²24 — cot²24

------------{as, tan(90-¢) = cot¢}

hence, L.H.S = R.H.S (i.e. 0)

therefore, tan²66° — cot²24° = 0
