Tap water conducts electricity since there are small amounts of calcium and magnesium salts dissolved in it, pure water ( distilled or deionised) has nothing at all in it that can conduct electricity.

◾◾here is your answer...

✒Distilled water(tap water) is a pure form of water and is not contain any type of ions . Therefore, it does not conduct electricity.

✒Rain water, being an impure form of water, contains many ions such as acids. hence, it conducts electricity.
