                             Technology has replaced emotions

Technology can never replace emotions. Though technology has had its influence on human emotions both positively and negatively, yet it has not replaced emotions. Rather, research has found that technology augments emotions.

Let’s first ponder over the positive influences of technology on emotions. Internet and computers have already taken over each and every field. Tell me an area or sphere where internet and computers are not being used! Education, industry, finance, defense, teaching, learning, research, medicine, accounting, entertainment, internet, online teaching, telecommunication, media, and space research and exploration. Machines, internet and computers are everywhere. The modern world will look void without machines, internet and computers. Internet and computers have created such an order in every field. They are so adroitly efficient in data storing and handling. They have man's life much more organized, systematic, simple, colourful, and awesomely efficient. Thus technology has promoted emotions of comfort, joy, confidence, and surety. Thus, technology has relieved man of unnecessary stress, botheration, tension, and worry.

Now let’s consider the negative side of technology and its unwanted influence on human emotions. Uncontrolled operating of internet and computers can be very harmful. Children sitting in front of computer screens for hours watching inappropriate sites and programmes, playing violent video games without any purpose can adversely influence their impressionable minds. This not only wastes the most precious commodity in the world—TIME, but also is unproductive in many ways such as affecting their physical and mental health. Sitting purposely in front of computers may make children couch potatoes leading to health issues that further affect their other areas of life.

Robin S. Sharma , the famous author and motivational speaker says, “Cell phones, mobile e-mail, and all the other cool and slick gadgets can cause massive losses in our creative output and overall productivity.” Modern life-style and man's increasing dependence on technology have literally affected his mental and physical faculties and capabilities adversely. Not only intelligence, the effect of technology and gadgets is visible on all aspects of his life. Machines, gadgets, vehicles, smart-phones, tabs, laptops, ac, blower, geyser, and whatnot, man cannot live for a second without technology.
As a consequence, he has become physically, mentally, socially, spiritually, emotionally weak!

Besides the above mentioned negative effects, the presence of advanced destruction-causing war machines and nuclear weapons, man’s worries and stress levels are at the heights levels. Thousands of people are being killed in terrorist activities using these weapons.

The best approach to handle technology is moderation. Man should not depend too much on technology. He must use technology wisely. Otherwise, it will totally disturb his emotional balance.
