Hii friend,
The term ‘Swadeshi’ means ‘self-sufficiency’. It was a practice deliberately adopted to overthrow the British Empire from power and improve the economic conditions in India. Gandhiji’s aim was too build a non violent society since he strongly believed in it. The Swadeshi Movement, initiated by Gandhiji, brought about employment opportunities by encouraging village industries to increase production of Swadeshi (Indian) goods. The movement involved boycotting British products.
hope this helps u ☺☺
