2) Ca(OH)2 + CO2 → CaCO3 + H2O

3) It's double displacement reaction as exchange of ions takes place

A solution of slaked lime or Ca(OH)2 is used fir white washing walls..

CaO+H2O→→Ca(OH)2
Calcium hydoxide slowly reacts with carbon dioxide in the form of thin layer on Calcium Carbonate on the wall. Calcium carbonate is formed after two or three days white washing nd gives a shiny apperance to the wall
Ca(OH)2+CO2→→→→ CaCO3 +H2O (Calcium hydoxide(Calciumcarbonate)
