Solution :-

Diameter of the capsule = 5 mm

Radius of the capsule = 5/2 mm

Radius of the capsule = Radius of the cylindrical part = Radius of the hemispherical part.

Length of the cylindrical part = Length of entire capsule - Length of two hemispherical parts

⇒ 14 mm - (2.5 mm + 2.5 mm)

⇒ 14 mm - 5 mm

= 9 mm

Total surface area of entire capsule = Surface area of the cylindrical part + Surface area of two hemispherical parts

⇒ 2πrh + 2*(2πr²)

⇒ 2*22/7*5/2*9 + 4*22/7*5/2*5/2

⇒ 1980/14 + 2200/28

⇒ 141.4285 + 78.5714

= 219.9999 mm²

or 220 mm (Approximately)

So, the surface area of entire capsule is 220 mm²
