= (1/2) * (3.5 + 5.5) * 3.5

= 15.75 cm²


Area of the Quarter circle:

= (θ/360) * πr²

= (90/360) * π * (3.5)²

= (1/4) * π * 12.25

= 269.5/28

= 9.625 cm²


Area of remaining cardboard

Area of trapezium - Area of quadrant

= 15.75 - 9.625

= 6.125 cm²


Therefore, Area of remaining cardboard = 6.125 cm²
