( x – 3 )² + 9x

Using identity

<b>( a – b )² = a² + b² – 2ab</b>

Here, a = x, b = 3

= ( x )² + ( 3 )² – 2 ( x ) ( 3 ) + 9x

= x² + 9 – 6x + 9x

= <b>x² + 3x + 9</b>
