this is a story about a man who is a doctor and a snake and their encounter in a room when the narrator was sitting in front of a mirror watching his face and thinking something about him then there is a sound which is here by him this sound was familiar one which is of rats then the sound stops he thought that why the sound stops then from above a snake came down on his shoulder and rap his right hand and went in front of his face the snake was 3 inch away from his face then he started hurting that what would happen if the snake bite him he has no medicine of the snake right now because he was a doctor so he felt very shamed that he don't have a medicine of a snake then suddenly the snake left the narrator and went towards the mirror and suddenly the narrator left the room without closing the door then a Thief came to his home and all stole all the things and left his underwear and his vest ..

the story is narrated by a man named Ganesh to his friends. it's about a doctor. he was a bachelor. he was a poor doctor. he had a suitcase in which he had a not sure white shirt and 50 rupees and his doctor coat. one day he was reading a book in front of a mirror. when he saw the mirror, he started admiring himself. he thought that he should marry a fat woman so that when did something wrong, he can run away and would not get caught. then suddenly he heard a sound on the attic. he thought that it was the rats that was in the house, so he ignored it. then again the sound came and a thud!! he felt something on his shoulder. he stood and saw what was that.a snake in his shoulder. it was coiling itself around his neck. he slowly sat on the chair in front of the mirror. then miracle happened, the snake slowly slithered across his arm and stood in front of the mirror. he was amazed by this. but no time to amaze. he ran away from there in total fear to his friend's house. he was thinking, why the snake did that., is it a male or a female one.

anyways he forgot to lock his door so the next day, his house was looted clean of everything. some culprit used the chance. but the insult for him was the thief left his dirty white shirt. even thieves had cleanness.
