Given :-

Maximum Horizontal Range of seed = 48 m.

Acceleration due to gravity = g = 10 ms-².

To find :

Maximum height seed rises.

As we know that,

The horizontal range will be maximum, if the angle of Projection is 45°.

R = u² 2SinØ.CosØ/g

48 = u² × 2 × (1/√2)(1/√2)/10

480 = u² × 2 × 1/2

u² = 480

Maximum Height = H = u² Sin²Ø/2g

H = (480 × 1/2)/2 × 10

H = 240/20

H = 12 m.

Hence,

The maximum height = H = 12 m.
