1, 4 , 7 , 10 , ...

Here ,

a2 - a1 = 4 - 1 = 3

a3 - a2 = 7 - 4 = 3

Therefore ,

a2 - a1 = a3 - a2 = 3

common difference = d = 3

Therefore ,

given sequence is in A.P

we know that ,

nth term = an = a + ( n -1 )d

a = 1 , n = 20 , d = 3

a20 = 1 + ( 20 - 1 ) 3

= 1 + 19 ×3

= 1 + 57

a20 = 58
