Hi!
we define the critical angle with the formula:
sintheta = mu1/mu2 - formula for critical angle
where mu is the refractive index of the medium.
mu1 - refractive index of the medium from where the incident ray strikes & gets refracted
mu2 - refractive index of the medium from where the refracted ray travels through.
also, theta or the critical angle is sin^-1mu1/mu2
(from the formula mentioned earlier)
in this case,
mu1 is 1 as the ray must have come from air
& mu2 is 4/3 or 1.33 which is the refractive index of water. note: air has refractive index of 1.
So, put these values in the formula to get
theta as sin inverse 3/4 which will be critical angle of water. you can get the precise value of the angle by the help of a calculator.
all the best!! Hope this helps..

Hey mate !!!
Answer :-
The absolute refractive index of water = 4/3
critical angle,c then
sin c = 1/n
sin c = 1/4/3 = 3/4
c = sin^-1 3/4 = 48°30' = 48.5°
c = 48.5°
Hope this helps ✴✴
