Answer:

Now, the present ages of A & B are (3x+5) and (2x+5) respectively. Age of A is 5 years more than that of B. The present age of B = 2x+5 = 15. Hence the solution.

sol;-

let the common multiple be x.

° 3x : 2x

° 3x = a and 2x = b

According to the Condition:-

age of a is 5 more than b

° 3x = 5 + 2x

3x = 5 + 2x

3x - 2x = 5

x = 5

a = 3x = 3× 5 = 15 years

b = 2x = 2 × 5 = 10 years

Their present age is 15 years and 10 years.
