The age of Ram and Shyam are in the ratio of 6:8 . 5 years from now the ratio of their ages will be 4:5. Find their present ages

After 5 years

Age of Ram = 6x+5 and Shyam = 8x+5

6x+5/8x+5 = 4/5

5(6x + 5) = 4(8x + 5)

30x + 25 = 32x + 20

25 - 20 = 32x - 30x

2x = 5

x = 5/2
