the ages of rahul and haroon are in the ratio 5:7 .four years later the sum of thier ages will be 56 years . what are their present ages.

Rahul 's present age is 20 and Haroon's present age is 28.

5x+4+(7x+4)=56
12x+8=56
x=4.

Rahuls age = 5×4=20
Haroon's age =7×4=28

After 4 years

5x+4+7x+4 = 56

12x + 8= 56

12x = 56-8

12x = 48

x = 4

So , their ages

Rahul = 5x = 5×4 = 20 years

harsoon= 7x = 7×4 = 28 years
