let the angles of triangle be 4x 3x 2x

sum of the angles of triangle=180

4x+3x+2x= 180

9x= 180

x = 180/9

x=20

4x=4*20=80

3x=3*20=60

2x=2*20=40

To Find:-

  • The measure of each angles of a triangle

Given:-

  • The angles are in a ratio of 4 : 3 : 2

Solution:-

Let the given ratio angles be 4x , 3x and 2x

Each triangle measures 180°

Accordingly,

⟹ 4x + 3x + 2x = 180°

⟹ 7x + 2x = 180°

⟹ 9x = 180°

⟹ x = 180/9

⟹ x = 20°

The angles are:-

  • 1st angle = 4x

⟹ 4 × 20

⟹ 80°

  • 2nd angle = 3x

⟹ 3 × 20

⟹ 60°

  • 3rd angle = 2x

⟹ 2 × 20

⟹ 40°

Now, Verification

⟹ 80° + 60° + 40° = 180°

⟹ 140° + 40° = 180°

⟹ 180° = 180°

L.H.S = R.H.S

Hence, Proved.
