Gravity falls off as the inverse square law. An altitude of one earth diameter above the surface is equivalent to 3 Earth radii from the centre of the Earth’s surface. Since the Rarth’s surface is 1 Earth radius away from the centre the dravity at one Earth diameter above the surface is a ninth that at the surface. Acceleration due to gravity at the surface is about 9.81 metres per second per second so gravity at the specified altitude will be about 1.09 metres per second per second.
