area of a field=l*b

so, l*b=450

let breadth be = x, length be = 2x

x+2x=3x

3x=450

x=450/3=150

therefore, x=150 so, breadth= 150, length= 300

Answer:-

  • The length and breadth of rectangular field is 30m and 15m respectively.

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find :-

  • The length and breadth of rectangular field

Solution:

Given that,

  • The area of rectangular field = 450m²
  • Length is twice it's breadth

\underline{\large{\purple{\textsf{\textbf{Assumption}}}}}

Let us assume the length and breadth of the rectangular field as

  • Breadth = x
  • Length = 2x

As we know that,

 \bigstar \:  \:  \:  \underline{ \boxed{ \sf{Area = l \times \: b}}}

Where,

  • l = Length
  • b = Breadth

Also given,

  • (x) (2x) = 450m²

Therefore,

\longrightarrow \: \sf{x \times 2x = 450}

By multiplying,

\longrightarrow \: \sf{(x)(2x) = 450}

\longrightarrow \: \sf{{2x}^{2}  = 450}

Transposing 2 to R.H.S,

\longrightarrow \: \sf{{x}^{2} =  \dfrac{450}{2}}

By dividing,

\longrightarrow \: \sf{{x}^{2} = \cancel{\dfrac{450}{2}}}

\longrightarrow \: \sf{{x}^{2} = 225}

By simplifying,

\longrightarrow \: \sf{x = \sqrt{225} }

\longrightarrow \: \sf{x = 15}

So, The value of x is 15.

Now, The length and breadth is :-

  • Length = 2x = (2*15)m = 30m
  • Breadth = x = (15)m = 15m.

Hence, The length and breadth of Rectangular field is 30m and 15m respectively.
