The area of a trapezium is 210 CM square and it's height is 14 CM. If one of the parallel sides is longer than the other by 6 CM find the two parallel sides.

area =210 cmsq

h=14 cm

Let on parallel side be x and other be x+6

ATQ

AREA of trapezium= (sum of parallel sides) ×height ÷2

210= (x+x+6)×14

210=(2x+6)×14

210÷14=2x+6

15= 2x+6

15-6= 2x

9=2x

x=9÷2

x=4.5 cm
