⇒ 1/2 (a + a - 16) x 15 = 300
1/2 (2a - 16) x 15 = 300 Multiply both sides by 2
(2a - 16)x15 = 600 Divide both sides by 15
2a - 16 = 40
2a = 56
a = 28
28 - 16 = 12
