Hey Friend ☺

Given

Area of trapezium = 340 cm^2

Parallel sides are in the ratio = 10 : 7

Height = 5 cm

To Find

Lengths of parallel sides = ?

Solution

Let the parallel sides be 10x & 7x cm

We know that

Area of trapezium = 1/2 × ( sum of parallel sides ) × height

》340 = 1/2 × ( 10x + 7x ) × 5 .

》340 = 1/2 × 17x × 5

》340 × 2 / 5 = 17x

》68 × 2 = 17x

》x = 68 × 2/17

》x = 4 × 2

》x = 8

So the lengths of parallel sides are 10x = 10 × 8 = 80 cm & 7x = 7 × 8 = 56 cm

Hope it helps you ..!!
