Resistance becomes 4 times the original after doubling length of wire.
Imagine you have a bubble gum in your mouth... When you take it out and stretch it you will see that the area of cross section reduces as length increases. Area of CS is the diameter of the wire or the thickness of the wire. When u stretch a bubble gum its thickness reduces. The same way for a wire, when it is stretched (length increased) the thickness reduces.
