The area of quadrilateral is 200cm². The length of the diagonal is 20cm . The length of one perpendicular to its diagonal is 12 cm. Find the length of the other perpendicular to its diagonal

assuming the quad is divided into two ∆s by the diagonal,

area of ∆1=1/2×b×h

=1/2×20×12

=120cm^2

area of ∆2= area of quad- area of ∆1

=200-120

=80cm^2

area of ∆2=1/2×b×h

80 =1/2×20×h

80/10 = h

8cm = h
