the area =864square m
lenght=36m
breadth=864÷36=24m
in order to find the area covered ,we need to find the perimeter..
perimeter=2(l+b)=2(36+24)=120m
thus the farmer walks 120m ...
hope it helps..

A farmer walk 120 cm if he walks once round the fields boundary

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangular field = Length \times breadth

One side = 36 m

We are given that the area of rectangular field is 864 square meters

So, 864 = 36 \times Breadth

\frac{864}{36}=Breadth

24 cm = Breadth

Perimeter of field = 2(Length + Breadth)=2(36+24)=120 cm

Hence  a farmer walk 120 cm if he walks once round the fields boundary
