let length of shorter diagnol be x
then other diagonal = 2x

Now,
area of rhombus = product of its diagonal
144 = 2x × x
144 = 2x^2
144/2= x^2
72= x^2

x =  \sqrt{72}


x = 6 \sqrt{2}
