Answer:

Let the base of triangle to be x and height is given 14.8cm.

Area of triangle=1/2*Base*height

129.5=1/2*x*14.8

therefore,x=129.5*2/14.8=17.5cm

Given :--

  • Area of Right angled ∆ = 129.5cm²
  • One side containing Right angle = 14.8cm.
  • Find other side containing Right Angle ?

Formula used :---

it has been said that , the side containing Right angle is 14.8 cm , that Means , its Either Perpendicular or base of Right angled ∆ .

→ Area of Right angled ∆ = 1/2 * Base * Perpendicular .

Solution :---

Let side other than 14.8cm that containing is x cm.

Than,

→ 1/2 * 14.8 * x = 129.5

→ 7.4x = 129.5

Dividing both sides by 7.4 we get,

x = 17.5 cm

Hence, Length of other side containing Right angle is 17.5cm.

** If we have to Find third side also that is Hypotenuse of , than we will use Pythagoras Theoram **,

(Perpendicular)² + (Base)² = (Hypotenuse)²

→ (14.8)² + (17.5)² = H²

→ H² = (525.29)

→ H = 22.91 cm .

So, Third Side of will be 22.91 cm.
