Answer :-

  • Length of the rectangle is 45/14 or 3 3/14.

Given :-

  • Area of the rectangle =  \sf 7 \dfrac{1}{2}
  • Breadth of the rectangle =  \sf 3 \dfrac{1}{3}

To find :-

  • Length of the rectangle ?

Solution :-

We know that,

  • Length of a rectangle = Area ÷ breadth.

 \rightarrow \sf Length =  \dfrac{15}{2}  \div  \dfrac{7}{3}

\rightarrow \sf Length =  \dfrac{15}{2}   \times   \dfrac{3}{7}

\rightarrow \sf Length =  \dfrac{45}{14}

 \sf (or) \: 3 \dfrac{3}{14}

Hence, Length of the rectangle is 45/14 or 3 3/14.

Verification :-

We know that,

  • Area = Length × breadth.

 \sf \dfrac{15}{2}= \dfrac{7}{3} × \dfrac{45}{14}

 \sf \dfrac{15}{2}= \dfrac{7}{\cancel{3}} × \dfrac{\cancel{45}}{14}

 \sf \dfrac{15}{2}= \dfrac{7}{1} × \dfrac{15}{14}

 \sf \dfrac{15}{2}= \dfrac{\cancel{7}}{1}× \dfrac{15}{{\cancel{14}}}

 \sf \dfrac{15}{2}= \dfrac{1}{1} × \dfrac{15}{2}

➥ 15/2 = 15/2

Hence, Verified.

Given:-

  • Area of rectangle = \sf7\dfrac{1}{2}
  • Breadth of rectangle = \sf3\dfrac{1}{3}

To Find:-

  • Length of rectangle = ?

Solution:-

We know that,

  • Length of rectangle = area ÷ Breadth of rectangle

 \sf \implies length =  \frac{15}{2}  \div  \frac{7}{3}  \\  \\  \sf \implies length =  \frac{15}{2}  \times  \frac{3}{7}  \\   \\  \sf \implies length =  \frac{45}{14}  =  \sf3  \frac{3}{14}

Hence,Length of the rectangle is 45/14 .
