Area of trapezium=1/2 × (sum of parallel sides) × Height

let the angles be x

192= 1/2 × (5x + 3x) × 6
192=3 × (8x)
64=8x
8=x

parallel sides are
5x=5×8=40cm
3x=3×8=24cm

The length of each parallel side are 40 cm and 24 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The parallel sides of trapezium are in the ratio of 5 ratio 3

Let the ratio be x

Parallel sides = 5x and 3x

Distance between parallel sides is 6 cm

Area of trapezium =\frac{1}{2}(\text{Sum of parallel sides}) \times Height

Area of trapezium = \frac{1}{2}(5x+3x) \times 6

The area of trapezium is 192 cm square

So,\frac{1}{2}(5x+3x) \times 6=192

8x=\frac{192 \times 2}{6}

x=\frac{192 \times 2}{6 \times 8}

x=8

Parallel sides :

5x=5(8)=40

3x=3(8)=24

Hence the length of each parallel side are 40 cm and 24 cm
