mean=sum of observation /no of observation
27=sum/5
27*5=sum
135=sum
let no. be x
135-x =sum
now mean is =25
135-x/4=25
135-x=25*4
135-x=100
x=135-100
x=35
excluded number=35
hope it helps:))

let the no be a, b, c, d, e
(a +b+c+d+e)/5=27
a b c d e = 135(added) eq i
a +b+c+d/ 4=25
a +b+c+d=100. eq ii
eq I -eq ii
e=35
(a +b+c+d+e)/5=27
a b c d e = 135(added) eq i
a +b+c+d/ 4=25
a +b+c+d=100. eq ii
eq I -eq ii
e=35
