hi frnd

average age is 28
let age of men to be X
nd
age of son to be Y

=) X+Y/2 = 28
X+ Y = 56 _________ (1)

ratio of their ages is 3:1

=) 3x , x............. (2)

by comparing 1 nd 2

3x + x = 56

4x = 56

x = 56/4

x = 14

so here the age of ,men is 3x = X = 3×14 = 42

It's given that Average age of man and son is 28
Now, let be age of man be x and son be y
Acocrding to question,

X+y/2=28
X+y=56 ..... (1)
It's given that their ratio is 3:1
So 3x and x...(2)
By comparing (1) and (2)
3x + x = 56 \\ 4x = 56 \\ x = 56 \div 4 = 14
therefore \: age \: of \: man = 3x = 3 \times 14 = 42 \\  \\ and \: age \: of \: son = x = 14 \\  \\  \\ hope \: it \: helps \: you \:  \: mark \: as \: breinliest.......
