Answer:

Step-by-step explanation: If we assume that Amar, Akbar and Anthony were born atleast 3 years ago, then

Amar’s age = x

Akbar’s age = y

Anthony’s age = z

Given: x+y+z = 80

3 years ago:

Amar’s age = x-3

Akbar’s age = y-3

Anthony’s age = z-3

Sum of their age: x - 3 + y - 3 + z - 3 = x+y+z -9 = 80 - 9 = 71

Now, if 1 or 2 person among Amar, Akbar and Anthony were born in last 3 years, then the answer will change. Here is an example.

Current age:

Amar’s age = 78

Akbar’s age = 1

Anthony’s age = 1

Sum of their age = 80

3 years ago:

Amar’s age = 78 - 3 = 75

Akbar’s age...(more)

Let the present age of Amar be =a

Age of Akbar =b

And the age of Anthony=c

According to question

a+b+c=80

Now move three years ago

Three ago means three will be subtracted from all the men

So three years ago

Their ages are

a-3

b-3

c-3

Now we have to find the sum of their ages three years ago

i. e

(a-3)+(b-3)+(c-3)

=a-3+b-3+c-3

=a+b+c-(3+3+3)

=80–9 (because it is given that a+b+c=80)

=71

So answer is 71
