7x × 5x = 617.4

35x^2 = 617.4

x^2 = 617.4 / 35

x^2 = 17.64

× = 4.2

7x = 7×4.2 = 29.4

5x = 5×4.2 = 21

Hope it helps

X = 4.2

base = 29.4 cm

altitude = 21 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

  • area of parallelogram = b × h
  • 7x × 5x = 617.4
  • 35xsquare = 617.4
  • X square = 617.4 ÷ 35
  • X square = 17.64
  • X = 4.2
  • base ---- 7x --- 7 × 4.2 = 29.4 cm
  • altitude --- 5x --- 5 × 4.2 = 21 cm
