the base of a parallelogram shaped field is twice its altitude. the cost of flying grass in the field at Rupees 1500 per hectare is rupees 12000. find the area and base of the field. also find the fencing required to fence the field once if its other adjacent side is 150m.

Answer:
let altitude of the parallelogram=X meters
so,base=2x meters
Area of the field= (2x × x) m s.q.
rate of lying grass in the field= 1,500 per hectare
total cost lying grass in the field = 12000
area of field= 12500/1500hectares
= 8 hectares
= 80000m s.q. (1ha= 100×100m s.q.)
now,2x s.q. = 80000
so,x s.q. = 80000/2
x s.q. = 40000
x = √40000
x = 200m
base of the parallelogram= 2×200m
=400m
the other side= 150m
perimeter of parallelogram= 2(length+breadth)
2×550
1100m
