Answer:

area of triangle=1/2*base*height

80=1/2*6*h

160=6h

h=160/6

h=26.66

Answer:

let the base of triangle is x

then base =6+x

area of triangle =80 cm^2

1/2*base*altitude=80

1/2*(6+x)*x=80

(6+x)*x=80*2

x^2+6x-160=0

x^2+16x-10x-160=0

x(x+16)-10(x+16)=0

(x+16)(x-10)=0

x=-16 x=10

x-16 neglected because altitude never negative

x=10cm answer...

so option C) 10 cm is correct.
