The base of a triangular field is twice to its altitude and the cost of cultivating the field is Rs. 30 per hectre and the total cost is Rs. 480. Find the length of the base and altitude of that trianguler field. 5 cm (10000 m² =1 Hector)

If we let the altitude to be x cm and the base 2x. So the area of the triangle will be 1/2*base*altitude = 2x^2/2.

Cost of cultivation is Rs30 , the total cost of cultivating the field will be = Rs480, Area of the triangular field will be 480/30 = 16m^2.

Since, 1 hector = 10000m^2 so 16H will be 160000. Hence, x^2 = 160000 or x = 400m.

So altitude will be 400m and the base is 2*400=800m.
