The Battle of Buxar was the turning point in India. The battle was started in 1764. The battle fired up India against the British.

The combined forces of Bengal, Awadh & Mughal King were defeated by East India Company. This battle was more significant than the battle of Plassey in 1757.

British were now firmly in control of the richest province of India i.e. Bengal. The exploits from Bengal helped them to expand their empire in India.
