The body of the Mars Orbiter needs to be made up of a special material in order to avoid rusting of the parts and overheating of the surface. Explain your choice of materials that scientists used so that a disaster could be avoided.

The special material is

Aluminum and Composite Fibre Reinforced Plastic -  or,

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer -  CFPR

  CFPR

         -  has a very high strength for a given weight

         - reflects well heat

        -  does not rust

        - durable

It may not be the best.  But it is practically the most fitting substance that can be used to optimized on multiple criteria.

nandinilakhotia: yes but I needed a few more points
kvnmurty: at what level is this question asked. which class ? pls inform
nandinilakhotia: class eight.
kvnmurty: is it not enoug h for class 8th? you could see properties of the material given above some where for more info.
kvnmurty: The material has to be very strong to withstand vibrations and pressure/stress due to atmosphere and high velocity of rocket through atmosphere. It has to be as light as possible, as heavier spacecraft is more difficult to carry and needs more energy to maintain in space. It needs to withstand high temperatures as Sunlight falls on it directly. Also, the radiation present in that location should be tolerated. It should be able to manage dust and atmospheric conditions around Mars in its orbit
kvnmurty: the choice is made on cost, strength/ unit mass, reflectivity, rusting, durability, elastic property - modulus.
